Working in Retail SUCKS

I've been working a retail job for just over a year now and it suckssss. The job itself? Easy! Just stock shelves and make sure things with an earlier expiry date is at the front of the shelf, make sure shop is clean and tidy, work the tills blah blah blah. But the customers GENUINLEY make me want to rip my hair out. It's like every customer is competing to see who can make me quit first. Best way to describe it is most customers act as if I'm not human but part of the shop (in a way yeah I am as i work here) but idk if they know this but I am a human too! There have been so many shifts where after I finish serving a customer I start considering quitting. So many of them are so unnecessarily rude.

And I get it somewhat, everyone has their own issues and stuff going on in their life but dude that doesn't mean you can scream and threaten a 19 year old cashier because YOU can't find where our eggs or something are and I told you we are out of stock.

At the end of the day what I'm trying to say is, I want to quit my job but I can't because of the current job market not just in England but worldwide. If I quit it will take me so long to find another job and without a steady source of income I will not he able to afford my University accomodation and just general fees and food for myself.
