My writing and how some people can’t read it - a rant

Welcome back to another one of my random ahhhh rants people 🙂‍↕️ So as the title says, some people can’t read my handwriting. And okay yes I’ll admit sometimes I write messy because 1, I gotta write all I can in class 2, these teachers be yapping SO FAST I GOTTA BE QUICK, and 3, sometimes I do be getting lazy with it so yes sometimes it does look ineligible, to the point where I don’t even know what I say sometimes. Haha for example I accidentally quoted a source wrong outloud in my speech for my public speaking class. I wrote “Green America,” the source and outloud I said “And according to Green Avenue blah blah blah” and even reading that I was like “wtf did I get THAT from?!” Then I sat down haha and I was like omfg I READ IT WRONG!!! 💀😂🤣😭🤡🤦🏽‍♀️ Haha not to worry I DID get a B on the speech and an A in the class (I’m pretty sure, he hasn’t graded FINAL final grades and he said that the grade is pretty much finalized and just needs to grade like extra credit which I did so I’m like 90% sure we got the A 😎🤩😮‍💨 and thank god because I failed this class before so if I didn’t pass with an A like I should just drop out, OF COMMUNITY 😭🫩) ANYWHOOOOOO, yes, sometimes my writing is bad I’ll admit to the chicken scratch, SOMETIMES!!!


HOWEVER IM TALKING ABOUT HOW PEOPLE CANNOT READ MY WRITING, KIDS MORE THAN ANYONE AS THEY CANT EVEN READ CURSIVE OR JUST HANDWRITINGGGGGG!!! Now okay, when I was in Third grade my teacher taught me, but even then I would’ve learned as I would’ve asked (force) my sister to teach me, she taught me how you write my name! So honestly in elementary school my teacher was the only one who taught cursive or handwriting (genuinely don’t know the difference or even IF there is a difference, I’ll look it up haha) so honestly I wouldn’t get mad at the kids from the other classes who couldn’t read it BUT I REMEMBERED ALL THE KIDS IN MY THIRD GRAD CLASS AND I WOULD GET MAD WHEN THEY DIDNT UNDERSTAND BECAUSE DID YOU JUST NOT PAY ATTENTION TO WHEN SHE TAUGHT US?!?? IM SORRY THATS YOUR FAULT!!! And okay yes I know i probably shouldn’t get mad at them or people for not knowing cursive (reading or writing) as they weren’t taught, how can you know of something if you’ve never even heard of it let alone talk about it? However it’s just like idk sad for that to be the case yknow? Like ALL THROUGHOUT HIGH SCHOOL THAT WAS THE CASE!!! And I was like welp…I’m not rewriting it 😐 and half of the time it was guys who wrote WAYYYYYY WORSE THAN ME and I’m sorry to the point where it’s embarrassing.

An example was haha I made a plan to sit next to my crush my sophomore year and HAHA PLAN SUCCESSFUL!!! However it was Spanish and eugh I’m not good at Spanish 😓 so yeah embarrassed but even MORE EMBARRASSED IM SITTING NEXT TO MY CRUSH LIKE JUST ME, JUST USSSSS OMGGGGGG!!! Anywho we have to work in pairs haha 😂😭 and we had to write something down and I wrote my answer and he wrote his and we had to exchange, yeah he looks at mine and says “yeah I can’t read your writing 😐” and genuinely BROKE MY HEART SO MUCH I CRIED 😭🔫 LIKE WHAT THE HELLLL THATS SO EMBARRASSING OF ME BUT LIKE DAGGER TO THE DAMN HEART I TELL YA. Yeah he don’t look good now, is HELLA rude, ESPECIALLY TO MY FRIEND WHO HELPED ME WITH THE PLAN AND SPANISHHHHHHH, and just eugh, embarrassed I even liked him but yknow we live and learn.

Another story, I’m helping my guy friend with English, he goes to another school and he needs help with some paper. I was in math and haha not doing my work so I was like GREAT I COULD HELP YOU!!! Yeah so I like writing!!! So I wrote the answers for him to use or what he could write about and took pictures and was like HERE YA GO and he’s like ugh SO LIKE UNAPPRECIATIVE OF IT 1 AND 2 HES COULDNT READ MY WRITING AND I WAS LIKE WELL IM NOT TYPING IT OUT I HELPED MORE THAN ENOUGH DAMN NEAR WROTE THE THING FOR HIM AND YEAH FRICK YOUUUUUU!!! He’s haha not in my life anymore but yeah he’s just eugh so just, I wasted my valuable teen years on him unfortunately 😒😮‍💨🫩😔

ANYWHOOOOO MY POINT IS I WRITE IN SEMI CURSIVE I WOULD SAY!!! AND PEOPLE MY AGE CANT READ IT!!! I KNOW ITS NOT AN ISSUE BECAUSE TEACHERS HAVE BEEN ABLE TO READ IF NO ISSUE BUT KIDS?!?! NO!!! And that brings me to my other point KIDS SHOULD BE GETTING TAUGHT TO READ AND LEARN CURSIVE BECAUSE ITS SUCH A PROBLEM IN TODAYS SOCIETY!!! ANDDDDD I HIGHLY BELIEVE THE SCHOOL SYSTEM PURPOSELY STOPPED SO KIDS ARE NOT ABLE TO READ IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS THAT ARE IN CURSIVE!!! It looks so cool and you could personalize it to you and just jazz up your life, like why WOULDNT YOU WANNA LEARN?! So yes while I can’t blame people my age or kids for not knowing cursive it’s just like damn you really don’t know 😐🫩 and I gotta rewrite it or explain it and it’s just 😮‍💨 tiring. But I will not change my writing (maybe in the future who knows) as I feel it suits me and I have gotten compliments on how nice it looks 🙂‍↕️

So yes, that is my rant for today!!! Apologies for oversharing and if you don’t know cursive apologies I’m not mad at you it’s just I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LEARNING ITS SO FUN AND JUST A COOL SKILL TO HAVE IN YOUR TOOL BELT!!!
