Okey first of all hi everyone. you can call me Xiao and I just recently found this website on my Insta feed and holy shit this is so confusing and awesome!!
Ive just been scrolling through a few blogs and I noticed I can just. do whatever. and since I have noone to talk to and its my summer break... I will be blogging from now on!
So hi hello and welcome to XIAO'S RAMBLING SESSION!!!!! *Crazy evil laugh in the background*
(before I start small disclaimer I type fast and grammer is not my friend and neither is the English language)
NOW I shall start.
so The devil wears Prada. first movie? Amazing. but the second? I am dissapointed. i had high hopes and i was so exited for it when i heard the news but.. now? after watching not only the movie but also Alex meyers's take on the movie I have to agree.
the movie was so bad and I am so sad.
one thing that bothered me most was how Andy loster her complete character ARC. Like EVERYTHING. in the first one she had this beatiful self finding moment where she realised that she doesnt have to run after Miranda and the movie end on her finally leaving and not being her idk "Lapdog" and NOW?? NOW SHE LITERALLY DID THE SAME THING THE WHOLE ASS MOVIE!!! Wich goes completely against everything she went through in the first movie.
next thing that i personally also didnt like was that when Andy and Miranda met again, Miranda completely FORGOT WHO ANDY WAS?? Like i get it. its been 20 years but really??? it just makes the first movie look so... dumb?
now.. Gen Z/ Mellenial humor. one thing i noticed with most new movies is the humor and that specific style of it. Like some jokes land and are good i give them that. But so often they overdo it and try to be so extra with it and Its just so bad. And for me as a Gen Z myself its just so annoying. like its not even funny.
and now to my last point because i dont wanna make it to long.
WHAT THE HELL IS EVEN GOING ON??
like this can also be my stupit's brain fault but.... what? like the whole story line just felt so random and messy for me. there was happening so much and nothing at the same time and so many random useless characters and plotpoints they just never closed
(One thing Alex meyers explained well in his video)
where he said that the first part and last part of the movie are like 2 sepperate random things and the last part is just random and aims at nothing. and I agree. i dont know what they where doing but emily just turned into a villain and huh??? it was just so random and makes no sense to me.
to me the whole movie just feels like the writers were drunk random people who never watched part one and just did- whatever???
now one thing i do wanna say I liked was Nigel. this guy saved it for me. his character (for me) barley changed and was still the same sassy queen as before and love that.
honestly that was probably all for now. i dont wanna rant on for tooooo long, if anyone wanst more i recommend to watch Alex Mayers video i think he did a great job at just saying a few things about the movie (all his own opinon btw) and yeah.
