Performance

On the way back from my first UIL session, I caught wind of a name I haven't thought about in months. My teacher and a peer were having a conversation about last year and the students she had last year. Then, they mentioned someone I deeply despised. My mind immediately scrolled through the many unsavory, exhausting memories I had of him. He is what people nowadays call a "larper." Throughout my life I've seen this boy grow into the most hollow, uninteresting, and unfunny person in existence. I remember hearing the condescension in voice when he talked to me. The passive aggressiveness laced the compliments, His face was curled into smug expression of narcissism. Words cannot describe the absolute hatred I had for him. The reason why I compare him to the "larpers" of today is because his entire life has been a performance. Even all the way back in 4th grade when he'd cry and throw tantrums. Always seeking validation. It's sad, it's pathetic, and its annoying. Now, it's even worse. Just last year he was larping arctic monkeys. Who still does that? His only hobbies are soccer and kissing himself in the mirror. He's absolutely chopped. He talks like butt head, spits when he talks, short, and has a big distracting nose. And the fact that he'd always try to put me down and humiliate me in front of others, it made my blood boil with anger. It angers me more is that men genuinely are like this. These people exist and are out there pretending they're this cool interesting person when they spew out regurgitated slop from tik tok. Anyways, the best thing to do is to not interact with this type of "person." It you do, don't do it sober. Stay up💯💯 (im high asf rn)
