i love humans.

hello hello! ::D i never rly had the courage to share my work but i think kwenk is a great place to do so...

... hell is other people, but heaven is each other.

sudden realizations when a stranger lays their head on you after a long day in the bus. the quite snores, the warmth on your shoulder. the frantic apologies when they realize they fell asleep. the disoriented gaze and slow blinking.

this is someone who has a rich life of their own. coming home from work to their spouse, maybe get a little present for their kid or pat their cat on the head after going in. tired kiss on the lips of the one they love.

or maybe they live alone and the only thing they see in the doorway is darkness. the almost deafening silence. unmade bed and mess on the table. they take a quick look in the fridge and sigh; too exhausted to eat, they go to sleep.

or maybe it’s a completely different life from what i imagined them to have. nonetheless, they live a life as eventful and interesting as i do. as happy, as sad, as fun, and as depressing as mine.

the accidental knees touching — it’s someone’s first love.

a random eye contact on the street — someone’s first heartbreak.

finding a wallet on the ground — someone who loves their best friend more than anyone in the entire world.

picking the same book a stranger put on the shelf just a second ago — someone who buried a piece of their soul in the graveyard on the outskirts of the city.

hearing laughter on a busy street — someone who just chose a ring for their proposal.

a couple breaking up right in front of me, an old lady looking at the picture of her lover with tenderness, a man freezing in his place after receiving a long text about a woman he was seeing, a little girl learning about dinosaurs because her crush in school mentioned about liking them.

in moments like these i feel the most connected to the world. we are all breathing the same air and pumping the same blood.

we are but simple creatures.

hell is other people, but that’s only one side of the coin. the other side, which no one seems to mention, is also ‘heaven is each other’. … hell is separateness, uncommunicability, self-centeredness, lust for power, for riches, for fame. heaven, on the other hand, is very simple — and very hard: caring about your fellow beings.
