I’m too lazy, or maybe just too tired, though I doubt it makes a difference. I am still static. I will stay static. I won’t reach for more because my elbow clicks and twinges every time I extend it to 180 degrees. I will stare out the window, down at the street, looking at the people who walk, or run on rare occasion, to wherever they may be going. The people who walk bravely forward in time, into their futures.
I am too lazy, or maybe just too tired, though I doubt it makes a difference. I won’t move from my chair by the window, even though the frame isn’t properly sealed, and it lets in a draft. I will sit in the cold and hope my mother can’t still see me. She would be disappointed. I think I am disappointed. I should have been more.
I am too lazy, or maybe just too tired, though I doubt it makes a difference. I won’t move. I will sit here for a little while longer.
