Alright now that I got your attention 😎😌🙂↕️ I would like to start off by saying that THESE 2 MOVIES ARE INCREDIBLE PIECES OF MEDIA HOLYYYYYYY 🤩🍿🥤These 2 movies are amazing and just wow and while I am in no way a movie connoisseur these movies are just, I HIGHLYYYYYYYY RECCOMEND!!!
Now...why do I semi hate these absolute GEMSSSS OF MOVIES?!?! Well...I was introduced to them by a friend 😐 We're not even friends anymore so (LOTS OF LORE ABOUT HIM but not the story/rant for today). SO, this friend, we JUST started talking to each other AGAIN and yknow it's going well (so far). He mentions this movie, Flow and how it was nominated for an Oscar I believe while it was this cute little movie that used a free animation program and going up against these big-name movies being like idk a lesser-known film. He then starts semi-bashing but trying not to be biased for Flow, especially for The Wild Robot because idk I'm assuming it was the "favorite" to win. Mind you while he's ranting about these two films, I'm amazed because 1.) this truly sounds interesting and ever since then I've put them on my watch list and 2.) interesting he's interested in these movies as he's literally told me, "Oh uh I don't watch movies...don't find them interesting sorry 😐🫤🙄." Anywhoooo so I keep these movies in the back of my mind and they seem interesting. I actually heard about The Wild Robot just from like the commercials they played but I for some reason just haha made me mad? 😂😭 I think because it was doing better than a Disney movie at the time but idk, and I don't even remember the movie it was outperforming haha! ANYWAYS so I eventually watch The Wild Robot and HOLYYYYYYYY GENUINELY ONE OF THE GREATEST MOVIES EVER!!! WOW IT WAS EVERYTHING I WANTED IN A MOVIE AND I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW AT THE TIME!!! And haha I found out Kit Connor played Brightbill and haha yeah, I was obsessed with Heartstopper and yup he was another reason I watched. So, then time goes by like a good while and me and this friend were not talking (for like at most three days haha) and I wanted to talk so WHAT DO I DO?!?! 😃🤔 WATCH FLOW, THAT'LL SPARK CONVERSATION ANDDDDD YOU'VE BEEN MEANING TO WATCH IT DUMMY DUHHHHHHH!!! Yeah...so I watch and like The Good Robot IT'S AMAZING!!! And honestly, I was surprised it had no dialogue, that was interesting but looking back now, I think dialogue would've done it more harm than good. So, I watch and then...I'm like damn how should I go about this now, so WHAT DO I DO?!?! GO ON INSTAGRAM FIND A REEL ABOUT FLOW BECAUSE YOU JUST WATCHED IT AND SEND IT TO HIM DUHHHHHHH YUP THATS HOW I'LL SPARK CONVERSATION!!! Yeah, so I do, find this cute reel and tell him LOVED THE MOVIES AND WE COULD TALK ABOUT THEM NOW!!! Yeah...turns out he has never seen any of the movies 😐 anddddd his rant from earlier...well he...yeah. It was all for nothing 😃😝😐😮💨 he then goes and says, "I'm sure both movies are great though," but like in an uninterested way.
And yes, I understand he didn't ask me to watch either of these movies and yes said he watched them. But talking about them in pretty good detail and why flow should win the Oscar over The Wild Robot...yeah...just yeah. I thought this was gonna be a GREAT conversation starter and haha I don't even think we continued talking that day and for a couple more days. But yeah...that uhhhh that's why I semi-hate these two wonderful films. I hope you all enjoyed 😃🙂😮💨 And if you see this and HAVE watched these movies, I'D LOVEEEEE TO TALK ABOUT THEM WITH YOU!!!
Anddddd haha to further add salt to the wound this ex friend also showed me Invincible 😃😆😐 while I love the show I’m unfortunately only a show watcher and not the comic book kind of fan (not that I hate them I just didn’t get into Invincible like that) and I’m NOTTTTT TOOOOO TOO much into the LORE lore but I am a watcher so yes if you’re interested I’m down to talk about that as well!!!🙂↕️
