why can't find people with similar interest

By HOW much I scroll through my Instagram feed.. it's mostly about visual kei, alternative fashion etc, i feel it's the new basic and that is what everyone gonna be wearing when i go out i find the total opposite, me living in an arab country makes it harder cause if you are not wearing the main stream "trad" clothes then you are weird somehow.. they are just wearing it cause it's trendy, not because it explains who are they truly. I hate the how people miss the opportunity to such a simple thing like expressing themselves through clothes, it's easy.. but it doesn't seem like it, trying to make new friends with different and "normal" interest is really annoying because they aren't accepting my different taste in music neither fashion and i just seem like a chud that cares about japan and japan only.. I like being different it's cool but sometimes there is a need of someone that might understand you and also in the same situation as you, I don't wanna change to be normal and have more friends but I want people that would at least understand or accept me (which I found some, literally two) but the rest have the same mind set that annoys me so much, the idea when i find someone else who is also a little "weird" they also find ME weird😭,, so its not working out at all and i feel some alternative or weird stuff are becoming more main stream lately but somehow some people still call it weird while it's literally mainstream and

I feel alternative is not becoming an identity anymore, it's more of a custom, something you wear to seem cool and different without understanding the core of it or even enjoying it, I'm not saying I'm an expert at J-fashion neither Visual Kei music but at least I enjoy it and try more and more to understand it while some people just say they like visual kei and next day.. boom they don't like it and it's weird like didn't we just chat about fukuro yesterday what happened lol?? I'm not saying you HAVE to stick to an identity that you don't relate to but don't claim it as yours, in the end we are just people and we try to find our identity in a big sea of literally everything,

anyway thank you for reading all of this wow ♡ !

I feel you (T▽T), being a person with "weird" interests is hard esp when you live in a country where you literally almost can't find anyone that shares them or even knows about them, and there's also the issue of not being able to find the things you like irl (and like you said even when you do find people that are into a little more interesting stuff you find that they're not as deep and invested into it as you and it kinda frustrates me how casual they treat it when you had to spend years liking it alone)
But I like to have hope that I'll atleast one day get to wear what I love and perhaps through that I'll find more people that are like me! For now we just gotta cope with it ╥﹏╥
literally finding any EGL related clothes is SO hard.. so thats why I usually go with DIYs when it comes to accesories cause I don't really that professional-_-,, literally trying to find people that at least try to be into the things they say they are "INTO IT" is so hard like truly, yes there are some that are really into these things but in the end there would be other problems like mind sets etc.. literally living with it is the best choice for now ig
True, wish I could leave this country aa, btw what sort of accessories did you make w DIY?? What mats did u use? ( ^∇^)
an egl head piece.. its kinda easy and tbh i didn't buy anything lol it was an old black shirt and a floral lace bolero that I cut some from and satin ribbon,, sewed by hand and did the design with paper first so I don't miss it up and destroy the fabric there is a tut that I kinda followed as well its on instagram! ^o^
