Redrawing movie scenes with ocs/characters you like is a fun way to get ideas running! If you don't have a specific scene in mind, film grab has some really high quality screencaps of random movies you can pick and choose from!

You could try making a weirdcore based oc? I think they always look fun, especially with the bright colors ^^
