So i just started Canto 4 (Canto 3 was absolute cinema i left out a tear) and i think i want some of your opinions, while this might change in the future, the more i play the more i think that Outis is..i don't know if annoying is enough of a term
There's a lot of times where i think she's very harsh or lack of empathy and i a way i think that she became that way because of the war but at the same time sometimes i can't help but think "oh my GOD Outis stfu"
So i've been wondering what are your opinions on her? I will definitly keep playing and maybe at some point i'll get to like her but for now...if even Ryoshu says that she's harsh you know you've crossed some points

I didn't see this, so chances are you already finished the canto (╥ ᴗ ╥)

Anyway, yeah, Outis is certainly an interesting character. I agree with you. She's clearly traumatised from the Smoke War. It's hard to be truly mad at her when everything she's done could be assumed to be a result of her position in the military.

That said, half the time she's on screen, I just say, "Oh my GOD, girl, get it together." She's either being a massive bootlicker or a massive bitch, haha. Not the cruelest sinner by far, but she sometimes seems like the most mean-spirited. Honestly, though, watching her suck up to Dante is more painful than witnessing her undeserved insults.

Every time she agrees with Dante, she has to point out that she, Outis, agrees. They could literally be arguing about where to go for dinner and she'd pull that tactic. Dante could say that one restaurant sounds more practical than the other. Before they would even finish, she'd jump in like, "Excellent idea, Executive Manager. I, Outis, also believe Ham Ham Pang Pang is the superior choice."

I'm being very harsh to her. She's not a terrible person, and definitely not a terrible character. I'm really intrigued by the moments of compassion she has. For example, when she puts Effie out of his misery. It had to happen, but she is genuinely solemn. Someone who only exists for their own gain wouldn't act like that.

Also, her canto is the second last (of the sinners, at least, lol). She's going to have a lot of lore to drop. We'll get to know a lot about the Smoke War. I'm really looking forward to seeing how her very obvious C-PTSD has changed her life. I hope she's able to begin to heal.

My money's on her homeland being completely destroyed. Girl is NOT getting back to there and having a happy ending. If her home isn't desecrated, I'd still believe her having changed too much for people to welcome her back. I don't know anything about The Odyssey, but this is The City. Nothing good happens to those
I responded to your post with an essay lmao. Apologies. I literally hit the character limit ( ;´ - `;)
