a more condensed version, phoebee buzz is a bee-themed vintage radio in the lightworld! (from a discontinued brand in the 1950s called "BUZZ") she was used by toriels parents a lot during her childhood, and eventually given to her when she grew up.
In the dark world she used to have a very similar set up to TV world, (I imagine being beehive themed) but over the years stopped being used, and was eventually replaced with TV world. to avoid becoming obsolete, she takes on being a stage manager at TV time studios.
I was inspired by the whole overworked/underpaid hardass office woman aesthetic. (you could say shes a.. busy bee..) and later "Video killed the radio star" by the buggles.
she enters the game in chapter 3. maybe she could be a secret boss, and I'd like an optional segment of chapter 3 to be exploring the dusty remains of "the hive studios"
shes unintentionally a big parallel to tenna (and perhaps a commentary on the existing gender inequalities within the entertainment industry)
any rate, I love her to pieces. I've been composing a few theme songs in toby fox's style for her.
