I feel like this may come across kinda preachy, but I don't understand people who don't add to a conversation. Like sometimes it feels like talking to a brick wall.

I used to think maybe these people just didn't like me for some reason, but I think they're just like that. They just don't have any thoughts to add ig. I also don't get people who don't seem to have a sense of curiosity. I feel like they don't question anything, and that's so wild to me because that's like ALL I DO.

Guess I'm just a thought daughter,,, but it makes me feel alienated sometimes bc I am just such a lover of deep and interesting convos.

I'm honestly one of those people with like 90% of people. Personally, I just don't like to talk that much and even when I do try to add to stuff, I'm not a very good speaker. I'd much rather listen/be present in a conversation, since I do still enjoy to socialize even if it seems like it'd be very difficult for me to, I'm just not a talker. I totally get it when people have a hard time holding a conversation with me because of this, but that's just how I am, and I am perfectly content with that.
shaking your hand!!! I am a chronic lurker, even in irl spaces. I'm good with 1-on-1 conversations, but once it gets to a group discussion I just enjoy listening to others converse more than contributing. I definitely have a lot of thoughts of my own, I just keep most of them to myself. But also the mortifying ordeal of being known + the allure of being the Mysterious One to people keeps me like this ToT
oh my godd heavy on the no curiousity part,, "do you ever wonder why xyz is abc" and the answers is "thats just the way it is, its not that deep" 🫩🫩
@Cyan I totally get that in a group! I'm moreso talking abt one-on-one convos here.
Are these people you talk about people you speak to regularly?? Because if they aren't, they might just be having a bad day or something,,, and if they ARE... well then, Perhaps you are just not on the same wavelength? Not that they don't like you, more that it just doesn't click. Either way, I get your struggle as a curious yapper myself, but it's best not to worry, especially if you didn't do anything wrong!!:)
