oh my god thanks for asking!!! i hope you dont mind that i copy-pasted the basic outline 😅

TW !!! DEATH, DROWNING, MILD BLOOD (?)

NAME: soggy peaches
visual themes: starting off with warm colours. slowly transitions to cooler tones.
literary themes: failing friendships. innocence. growing up. paranoia. death
characters: person1 and person2 (dude i havent come up with names for them (╥﹏╥)

basically. person1 and person2 were really close childhood friends. live in the same area. their families are really close.
person1 is still very much innocent, optimistic, hopeful. over time, person2 gets maybe jealous? or is hiding some sort of secret? and this causes him to drift away from person1 and come to find him annoying/despise him.
(theres a scene of them picking peaches, one of them falls into a puddle and kind of splats.)
blah blah blah. person1 and person2 are hanging out in a creek. person1 maybe brings up something abt person2 that triggers them. person2 snaps and holds person1 under the water. yk, until person1 stops struggling. the water is tinted red.
like a soggy peach.

um person2 is now overcome by horror and regret and stuff. they sit on the edge of the creek in shock.

film ends with him hearing their parents calling them both for dinner.

theres a lot more to the film but this is the summary lol. :DDDD
i havent started making it yet, gotta get a few things sorted before i do, but the idea is definitely marinating nicely
yoooo that sounds like a cool concept!! The summary storyline reminds me a lot of the game Cold Front and I think that's really neat
THANKS!!! Dude I actually still need to play cold front 😭
I read about it in the comments, your short film concept sounds epic!! Do you plan on making it live action of using animation?? Also is there some sort of symbolism as to why it's a peach specifically?? I'm really curious:3
aww thank you so much! it's going to be animated i think, and its going to be heavily experimental bc i wanna have fun with it >.< not much symbolism with the peach, but i wanted it to sort of resonate with the fact that picking peaches together is a fun past-time and something the boys had been doing for years. and then the dropped soggy peach paired with the death of person1 (with his head meant to be resembling the soggy spilled peach [not shown graphically as it doesnt fit with the vibe of the film]) kind of symbolises the death of that bond. :DDDDD
