I tend to like games that are story-driven, have a lot of puzzles or have your choices matter. I really like puzzles but I tried playing Professor Layton and was genuinely having a hard time and stopped lol skill issue really
I haven't heard of that game but it sounds interesting I'll definitely check it out when I get time.
I don think abt it much but i think i like stuff with a story n an open world- idk usually i play zzz and other gacha games plus spiderman (miles) and i love exploring the world in them sm- ive been playing shooter games/js fighting ones 4 years n i like them but its js not as fun 4 me without a big world 2 explore:D
That's fair. I played Genshin Impact a few years back and i really loved how big the map was, i stopped playing after a week though because i forgot my password LOL
I love a good RPG; let me choose what happens in the game. But a good FPS is a great style of game. For me, mainly it's the setting of the game that matters most. Games that have a lot of lore are my faves.
I love watching video essays explaining the lore to games I've never played in my life lol
Don't like open world that much. Balanced story while between missions you have unlimited time to go postal is rarely achieved, because of how much time it could past between story missions. Rdr, gta, Witcher, cyberpunk. It's like the same game with different open world preset. I like linear games driven by story and actions of a player, choice doesn't need to matter, what matters are stakes, intending doom, pshyco on a run, something worth fighting for. Open worlds doesn't have that, and if, not implemented so good. Well, at least dead rising perfected it. Time limit is stressful and you really feel like you need to keep going or you will fail. Yeah, games with balances story and gameplay where one complement another you get what I mean?
I love a game with a good story line. I can definitely understand what you mean by open worlds somewhat lacking urgency. I know when i played Genshin for a week I did almost nothing to progress the actual storyline. I still enjoyed it though.
