i always thought abt this in terms of like. which Characters u gravitate towards says smthn either about you or what youre missing, but media as a whole is also super interesting!! perhaps fantasy is about a sort of lack of freedom for me, thats fascinating
I've always longed for a large, close group of friends, so I like stories featuring a group of central characters instead of one main guy. Examples include: Limbus Company, Transformers Prime, and my own OCs, haha.
Although living in the past would have sucked, I do long for the simplicity and slower pace. I tend to gravitate towards stories set in small towns and the 20th century as a result. My main story, Dandelion Sun, is the biggest example I have of this.
