What games did you try to emulate? On RPCS3 only 60% of games are supported, check
https://rpcs3.net/compatibility . You can also try jailbreaking a real ps3. Unfortunately I have no experience with ps3, only ps2 and Xbox360, but I've heard It's really easy and you just need a usb stick and some files form the web.
I tried emulating Catherine, but I think my computer doesnt have a strong enough graphic card, so I think i will try to find less demanding games??
Btw, what was your experiences emulating ps2 games? BcsI want to get into it too :3
pd: thanks for the tip :))
I relate so hard T_T I've been trying to do some stuff with burning DVDs recently and it was a challenge I have not yet figured out... best of luck to you haha!
best of luck for the both of us!! :D
I am sure we will figure it out
Emulating ps2 games is a lot easier, there is only one type of game format (iso in that case) and It's less demanding, so It will run just fine on low end hardware.

Download PSCX2 and PS2 bios files, that allow you to play games from different regions (America, Europe, Japan). Launch PCSX2 and It will ask you to add those files to bios folder, just follow the instructions in the startup menu and don't forget to unzip those files before doing it.

Now you can add games to your library! You can use either physical licensed media or download ISOs form ROM sites. I personally recommend Vimm's Lair, download speed is kinda low, but It's a really safe site and he has a really big library of ps2 games.

Also watch out for performance issues, since emulators run differently on different devices. I had a problem with Metal Gear Solid and Devil May Cry games, cutscenes lagged really bad. Turning on Vulcan support in PCSX2 fixed the issue.

Good luck! Ask If you have any issues.
