I think the rise in people using Artificial Intelligence, specifically LLMs as companions is an interesting topic, especially when correlated with the rising loneliness epidemic, and just how much newer generation's style of socializing has changed.

Edit pt.2: I totally agree with you and I'm glad someone mentioned it! In all honestly, you can thank Covid for playing a role in the loneliness epidemic. Everyone was shut inside their homes for the sake of preventing sickness from spreading. It was their own pipeline to the "outside" world. But overall, the accessibility of technology devices make it so that everyone regardless of age are more influenced to socialize online rather than face-to-face. There's this whole rabbit hole when you think about it.
