For my writers here on kwenk, what inspires you to keep writing? I don't really have plans to publish anything I write (or really show it to anyone to be honest) which makes me struggle with motivation- I want to write because I like the stories I make, and I love bringing them to life, but finding the motivation is challenging T_T

i mostly write poems and i just write them for me when i feel like it
it really helps with just enjoying what i do and create
I enjoy writing and exploring the possibilities of how a story could go! i tend to listen to my music playlist, if I'm writing a specific scene I need music that make me feel what my characters are feeling!!
i feel this very much because i write for myself too and most of the time i just hype myself up by saying that the story will never exist if i dont write it/ i will be creating this into existance/trying to remember why i write (having a purpose even if its just for oyu really helps) and i mainly force myself to write when im deep in my emotions because writing helps me get through stuff
I want to leave my mark on the world, and make a satire of what's happening because people seem to take everything too serious or not serious at all and my mission is to make everything so over the top, people maybe would understand how doomed we would be if we don't find common ground and just stop hating each for stupidest things
Mann honestly I struggle with procrastination, whenever it comes to writing songs, poems, and/or books. My art I believe has plenty of potential, and I really want to show the world my unique story writing, and songwriting. Especially in a country I live (South Africa), where majority consuming Amapiano slop
Well, I just get ideas from shows, unfamiliar topics and other things I can think of.
I don't mind writing, cuz I'm a literature student.
smth that motivates me quite a bit is my friends, bcus i do show my writing to my friends, and i like hearing what they think. also sometimes, looking back on my old writing - often it does make me cringe so bad but i can also see flashes of who i was, what that younger me was trying to do, and seeing what i've already done inspires me to make something new.
I feel like my life experiences is probably the ultimate resource to write about whenever I make a poem or a memoir about them. I used to hate writing mostly because it was all analysis-based (for school) until I found a creative writing class in my school that helped me learn how to express my self and put my thoughts out there for people to see. There's still a lot of stories in my life that are untold--they deserve to be in ink.
I’m not a writer, but as a creative, I think feeling proud of your work is really rewarding.
