As a French guy, I was at a protest yesterday and the sheer hatred towards protesters is real. Now they're even talking of forbidding eyedrops in protests because they can be used to protect your eyes if you've been hit with tear gas. They've already tried to make masks and protective eyewear illegal in protests as well because obviously the cops can have helmets, shields and literal guns but god forbid a guy wants to keep their eyes,,,
When has this world gotten so bad that we'd slaughter our own kids for wanting a better life omfg,,, and this is AFTER Macron said he wanted to launch a program to have French families make more babies. Dude just wants cannon fodder.
Okay I'm stopping my rant there to avoid being annoying lmao but there's so much to say about this.
Yeah they're doing their best to make the people suffer and back down.. Recently i saw they were going around in protests and confiscating "dangerous materials" and it was eye drops, swimming glasses, masks, etc. that sort of stuff... Thankfully protestors are all really kind, the other day i was at an assembly (I'm french too lol) and there were some nurses distributing eye drops and masks to highschoolers
Oh but protests are supposed to be a right lmao The government just decided that they suddenly didnt wanna respect the law anymore (as if they were respecting it before..)
The cops in France are just so ??? I don't even have an exact word but they're always so violent for nothing or simply trying to exaggerate the situation to justify their actions What i especially don't like is also the medias, the students are fighting for their rights for SO many reasons and they have the right to be angry and to want to protest But the only thing that medias are showing is "oh students are getting violent it's dangerous they don't have anymore respects for people" why not showing why they're angry??? The comments on certain posts talking about what is happening right now are so scary.. I support the students i really hope things can get better
Yeah the cops are really starting to believe they're allowed to do anything they please.. God, a lot of them consider this as a game and bet on how many students they'll hit. And yeah, the medias are really awful, every one is trying to show the students in a bad light, when all they're doing at this point is trying to survive and not lose a limb or any part of their body against the police..
