I need some advice guys

ok so I found an app where you can meet people and whatnot and I found a cool guy near me so naturally, I gave him some free art I made (love giving art and stuff 2 people) and he initially thought I was a scammer but after it was all cleared up, he liked it and him and his roomie/friends liked the post and even reposted.

on this guy's profile it says he's looking for a partner and so am I and tbh I'm pretty interested but we're both anon (faces covered in pics) and his roomie friended me on the app but he hasn't. I wanna get to know him and be friends and eventually more but after that rough/weird interaction (that DID turn out well) I don't know how to transition into casual talk (I'm also pretty awk so it's even harder)

what do you guys recommend? This is my first time crushing on an anon guy, so I really don't know what to do

trust me send that follow request, i dont think it makes it obvious that you're crushing on him but at least it allows for potential future interactions, no loss only benefits, and in an ideal world if hes a story poster u can respond to one of those and start conversations

the thing is, on the app, he hasn't freinded me back and on insta (where i posted the art) i was using my art acc (so my pics with me in them are on the other app) I fear talking on insta instead might seem odd since "I" am on the other app and insta is just random art y'know?
