My favorite is trope of being lost in a place you're not even supposed to be in

I am a sucker for "shitty" tropes like love triangles and only one bed. Aside from those, I really like characters who view themselves as very different from each other, but have a similar past. It's fun to see how characters of similar starting points diverge (and maybe grow to hate each other for it).

Being stuck in a place you're not supposed to be in is pretty cool! Definitely has a lot of horror potential.
