I feel neutral abt it but the person who said it didn't like the complicated techware and neon colors - but at the end of the day it's all personal taste
a genre that i hate would probably be the cliche popular romances an aesthetic though... oh, probably those *really* minimalist people no hate for them as a person though, i just hate their home
those minimalists whom purposefully buy maximalist homes and then TEAR THEM APART. there are sooo many minimal-looking homes they couldve bought, but no they just want the clout
I agree with Fuji and Kitty Cheshire. Every time a beautiful, detailed home is stripped and pained landlord white, an angel dies. Just buy a minimalist home. People will be like, "Who would even buy this old crap?" ME!!!! I WOULD!!!!!!!!!!!
I like some modern minimalism that focuses on shapes, textures, and limited colours, but some minimalism looks like white room torture.
I also agree with Ori regarding American adult animation. The Cal Arts style can look nice (e.g., Gravity Falls), but it has become synonymous with lazy adult shows to me. Based on looks, I'd rather watch Hazbin Hotel, even if I don't love its art style either.
I got carried away lol. I don't tend to like romance media, but I don't engage with it much. I don't like daytime TV mysteries or crime shows at all.
Yeah some people can have a nice minimalist decor, because they arranged stuff as you said with shapes and textures and etc. Those are okay, not my favorite but not too bad!
How could hippies be racist when a lot of their music is made by black artists. If I know correctly hippies mostly listen to reggage and I know smth about Bob Marley ( he is like the most famous one) . And he is from Jamaica and fought against hate and war. A real hippie can not be racist because their motto is make Love and not war. So hippies just want piece and everyone to be equal so idk where you got this idea from
Again, talking about the aesthetic not people because it appropriates Romani culture. Same goes for the bohemian aesthetic. Hippie subculture itself is another can of worms. While we can recognize its significance as a subculture for Westerners, we cannot deny that psychedelic orientalism was also a huge part of hippie culture which was extracting from religious beliefs in Asia (e.g. Buddhism and Hinduism) and putting them through a Eurocentric lense.
I wouldn't say I hate it, but the whole "2000s older brother core" aesthetic is soooo overplayed for me to the point that i just don't feel the hype behind it. I honestly believe it justs paints the past with rose-colored glasses but I just can pinpoint the reason for my argument :|
A genre i hate is probably like most likely like live action AND never ending sequals, mostly from disney, but live action pretty much takes all the charm and emotional scenes, usually. For sequals it's a debate, it's either really well done, or pretty much cash grab to milk the darn out of a franchise *looks at Toy story*
Oh, and "cozy" and "silent hill inspired", just say you are pretending and you don't understand. I may be an asshole, but I'm true to myself. You know what type of people I'm talking about, the "evil autism" and "I'm just a quirky chungus". How people can be so fake...
This may come out a bit rude for those who love HB or HH: Too much NSFW presented and quick paced scenes. It can get very repretitive overtime and someone would just quit watching a few episodes or somewhere in which season. Mainly NSFW is shown in HB but using it to ruin a character's reputation or whichever reason can really set people off by what action the character does, but that leans forwards to scriptwriting. I guess black comedy is a bit too much when it comes to Viv's shows.
I don't hate her shows, I think they're great, but the themes is just a bit overboard.
