Something that had me thinking is how dying toylines show that they're about to go out by some sort go gimmick before they fully kick the bucket?
I stated thinking about it when me and my brother were at the store, and I mentioned how I really liked ballerina dolls, but they're never good quality for the most part. And he asked me why, so I told him about how they always have hard or molded on shirts, while their slippers are also just molded into their legs with a cheap ring of fabric as their skirt/tutu, so ballet dolls are usually one of the last things from a doll line before they go out. Since they're so cheap to make.
And my brother said how when he thought of a similar "one last gimmick", thing, he thought of toys that would glow in the dark. Which I think makes a lot of sense for each. Since both are cheap and easy to make, and are nearly guaranteed to sell.
