As someone who is trying to get rid of doomscrolling in their everyday life - what are your favourite activities/ways to replace it or deal with it?
It sometimes feels like an itch you can't scratch properly but it seems like it's now a specific artificial need created by the product (social media).

When I started doing one of these I usually lose track of time and can spend hours trying to figure out something
I also try to get back into reading, I used to read *so, so much* in primary and middle school, but in highschool I started reading a lot less probably be cause of the workload. What works best for now is visual novels, and I always prefer physical books so it's a plus ! I also bought myself some political/ engaged books to try to learn more about it
If you take your time and choose your books yourself in the library or bookstore it's always gonna be easier to start reading than choosing a random book off the internet
Or, try to learn a new skill, from drawing to swordmaking (I'd say it's a bit difficult to randomly start that but yeah), anything, really
