I'm going to make a blog about a think o had the last months, but I think it will offended some people, so, I am going to ask to the people of States(America):

How you see your country? Or If where's a "what if", how would you see your country?

Being inside America, I would say I see my country as a delusion. Iโ€™m all honesty, I am pretty young to have a huge opinion on the states and whatnot but it just feels like a fever dream where nails scratching chalkboard never ends
(P.S. my bad if there are some mistakes, iโ€™m pretty sleep deprived rn -.-โ€˜)
It's okay to have a opinion marked at that age! Like the phrase "It's contradictory to be a teenager and not fight" or something like that

Like a spectator, it's really feel like an illusion, years ago I read a book about how science use people for studying, and the majority of this case, was, in fact, from America๐Ÿ˜ญ
yeah honestly I do have opinions but it really feels like America isnโ€™t real with the way current politics, economic, and also some people inside as well ->-
being American is a very conflicting thing for me. I think the U.S. has been going downhill for the past several years. I dont support our government or a lot of things happening rn, it sucks. If someone asked me if I loved my country my gut reaction would to say no, but deep down i think everyone loves where they are from. The U.S. no longer represents the principles it was built on and most of the time i just try to stay oblivious to everything horrible happening because it just makes me sad.

being a child of 2 veterans doesn't help with my confliction either..
My condolences, if your parents are veterans, what do u know about? if you don't want to reply is okay
Sorry I don't really understand what you're asking
A place built on compete malarkey that's how I see it, and people aren't even trying to hide it. I mean, I'll turn on the news one day and first thing I hear is the equivalent of someone saying "hey pigs can fly now because I said so" and everyone just kinda believes it. Ridiculous in my opinion. I mean like yeah, it was never the greatest place but it really has been driving itself straight into the gutter in the recent years. What's the use of calling itself the land of the free when it's building itself up on lies and bones really. Won't go too into detail since I don't want to bring it all down but I'll just say I wouldn't even call it "my" country. I have no loyalty to it. But I guess it's a little easier for me to say that as someone who's both queer and in a first gen family
i see my country as really volatile; most people in my social circle agree
i have some vaguely defined ideas about the government; the issue is that billionaires/the upper class rule the government, so people don't like the government because the rest of us suffer
the american people though i do enjoy (when you're not on social media and seeing the specifically horrible people). there's a lot of community and diversity since the american identity itself is a mix of everyone's different cultures; people are willing to fight for others and help each other a lot
i think american patriotism (red white and blue eagles woo) is a ploy. i'm loyal to my friends and community if anything; people just wanna live man
This is what I thought too,is like a dream to think that actually the 60% of the population are actually immigrants/different 'race',with the 10% being indigenous and still being a problematic country

But actually,I'm happy how people fight now, this people wouldn't be survived on 30 years ago
If you can change the colors of the flag, what colors would be like?
yeah, that's what i try to remember! people fought during the civil rights movement and made real change, so even if it feels slow at least people are still able to talk and spread the word
hmmm idk! maybe colors closer to traditional indigenous flags like green, purples, etc.
As an american I'm personally conflicted with everything and I definitely agree with the commenters on this one. Personally as a young adult just starting my career I worry alot about my future. I feel like there's never a break from anything. I've felt like my own voice has diminished over everything because of mass media, even trying to have a civil conversation with someone on the opposite side of the party is hard to do without insults and backlash. Honestly i think the whole government is a circus show and it's ridiculous on how people act. I would've loved for the U.S to represent a whole unit of cultures combined but it's hard for me to even say that when there's so much division within. That's my personal take on things though
Same too in my country, the president who now gobern, is from a family who supported the Nazis and still have some idealists from there

Imagine that we are in the middle of the year, in three months of gobern he makes so much mistakes, and now They are using the climate to hide what they approved in the government.
I definitely feel conflicted about America n being American
To start, I would say I identify as an American, but not in a patriotic way, rather how many people feel about being part of a family even when it has its ups and downs. I can definitely feel the grass is greener sentiment about other countries, but I also remember that nowhere is perfect, and I definitely know that there's a pendulum going on right now. But also being an American, and seeing everyone else reply who is in America, (and maybe a little bit of hope) I don't believe this is what America stands for. I think it's a flawed system that's gone too far right now, but I also think that the country is what people make of it. The people who oppress us are few and far between, and the people have far more power, and I think we're just tired. I'm not going to sit here and pretend this makes anything different, but the people don't want the country we live in right now.
All that yapping is to say, to me the country is simply a container, and the people who run it are corrupt--I am not an American because of them. I am an American, however because I stand in solidarity with all the tired people who need someone in their corner, and because I know that no country can ever be perfect, and I (left this out before but I) believe in the very American sentiment of the power of the people and the power of the foundation that brought us this silly little container of people we call America.
And to all the rest of y'all living in America, I know it's hard, but I think the worst thing we can do is feel sad and disenfranchised because that's exactly what they (the billionaires and the politicians, I'm not going to be vague) want us to do. I believe in us :D
Uhm maybe that was a bit of a tangent, but I think it's a place that has a lot to improve on, but it's not all doom and gloom because many of the people (imo the majority) are pretty great.
This is a good response, actually, my idea is a what if America would be more like a "reunion city"like in the games
i think itโ€™s complicated. on one hand, the very basic ideas of what it was built on is morally wrong. the ideas it creates are harmful not only to others but its citizens.
however, living here, i see a lot of individual beauty to it too. our natural parks are gorgeous. i live in a big city, so the fact that i can get food inspired by any place around the world in a 30 min drive is incredible. there is a mix of culture i have never seen anywhere else when i travel. but i know all of this good is not a direct outcome of any of those in power, but rather the working class and all of the individual people actually living here. people here are very outspoken, for good or for bad, in what they feel.
i think itโ€™s in very troubled times that cannot be fixed without major changes but when/if it happens i hope it keeps the best part of the states which is the meshing of culture from so many different people from different places.
Yeah, the United States it's more like a reunion of cultures, but instead of take advantage of this, they extract it from his history
America sucks, they discriminate against people just cause the color of their skin its fricken stupid. The whole country is filled with pedophiles that wont go to jail cause they're too powerful. I wish everyone was equal I hate seeing my friends discriminated against just cause they arent a white ahh cracker like me. Everyone should be equal.
Honestly it low-key sucks, it's a constant background stresser for me (since I'm part of a few of minority groups) and I'm a naturally anxious and paranoid person. But I also don't like all Americans being stereotyped and generalized because I do think there are good people here trying to make progress. So it's kind of a situation where I don't like the people in charge and any of their methods but I still like the ideals that I was taught the US was all about (the US low-key never was all in about any of those ideals but that's a different conversation), the physical land (because the land isn't doing anything wrong) , and at least some of the people here are chill.

My hope for the future is for us outgrow this shoddy phase (god I hope it's a phase) that we're in right now to become more equal and accepting than ever before, especially of our immigrant citizens and minorities because most of the US' history (especially concerning white people) was built by immigrants and I don't know how people so conveniently forgot that.

TLDR: It's complicated, I want to have hope but it's really friggin' hard to, especially right now, if that makes sense (idk I have a lot of thoughts and feelings and it's kind of hard to explain all of them :P)
