Some power pop bands because people I talk to IRL don't recognise the genre (most of these are '90s):

- Jellyfish
- The Posies
- Matthew Sweet
- Sugar
- Material Issue
- Jason Falkner
- Big Star
- Teenage Fanclub

And my ultimate favourite: Velvet Crush! I love their album Teenage Symphonies to God. I think the band is pretty niche. I hope I can meet someone else who knows about them! Unfortunately, I've been having a hard time finding their proper discography. I want to listen to their songs in order, but I dunno where to find their other albums.
