what are some niche games you guys enjoy? one of my favorite games of all time is called the bookwalker: thief of tales! i wish more people talked about it.
probably not super niche but i don't see ppl talking about it often either, but the rusty lake games ( all of then, there's a lot ) are sooo good, they're surrealistic and don't make much sense at first but after a while i was able to kinda see a chronological order i guess
Rusty Lake !!! I love them too,I played most of the Cube Escape suite, it's so niceeee i really like them and I really didnt expect seeing them here woah woahhhhh
The Excavation of Hob's Barrow, I don't see it being talked about but its a point and click adventure horror game. Ironically I am not a horror fan but this one was quite fun
NAPPLE TALE!! I've yet to play it cuz it's for the Dreamcast (which I sadly do not have) and was never officially released in english, but..it probably has one of my favorite videogame soundtracks of all time! It's composed by Yoko Kano, my fav composer ever! She wrote the Cowboy Bebop score for reference:3 The game also has such a beautiful and whimsical aesthetic.
Solatorobo: Red the Hunter, super niche DS game and it's almost impossible to find a cheap physical copy of the game?? I played this game when i was a kid and oh my days i love it so much
Kemono Teatime! it's a cute visual novel/cafe simulator game where you get to make tea blends and serve desserts with a story that unfolds as you play, with multiple endings. you play as the only human in town, in a world full of kemonomimi. the art is absolutely beautiful too and insanely cute. i'm a sucker for games with pixel art.
