Honestly hit the gym late at night. It will definitely tucker you out if you go hard and do well and make sure that the last 30 mins before you go to bed don’t look at any screen whatsoever. Read, play guitar, build Legos, just anything that will have you not looking at a screen. Don’t know if it will work for you but it does for me, so I thought I might recommend it.
Vey silly but something that helps me is making myself a big ass hot chocolate. Doesn´t matter if it´s a thousand degrees outside, a hot chocolate with hot milk usually makes the job. But it has to be almost cereal bowl-like big. And also try to eat dinner sooner so you don´t go to bed full, that helps too
Sadly, I wouldn't be able to tell you. I don't have insomnia but a few breathing issues that keep me up at night, I wish you the best tho! (Throwing sleep at you rn.)
how much melatonin are you taking? i normally don't respond to it at all unless its at least a double or triple dose, maybe take more if you haven't already tried that (within reason of course because it can ruin your day if you take too much)
the usual i had was 3 or 4 melatonin gummies that were 70 to 80 milligrams each but they stopped working for me after two days
that's roughhh, I'd rec reading something - might take some trial and error, sometimes reading something rlly dense and a challenge to get thru tires me out, but other times that's too tiring for me to read so i don't read at all, so smth simpler mayhaps? or mb do something that requires u to be on ur feet for a while - baking always tires me out, that might work. And idk if this will work but sometimes I just count back from a thousand, it takes a long time and I generally fall asleep by the 600s.
Magnesium, and when you wake up? Drink some water, and try to get sunlight on your face ASAP. It'll help your body regulate. The mag helps the sleep 'stick' if melatonin just isnt enough.
something that always helps me is those sleepy time teas, but thats a bit mundane,, i know its cliche but using my phone too close to bed always makes it harder to sleep so i try to avoid that. also, this might be a bit weird but sometimes if im feeling restless i just go to the park and run around xD
I drink Celestial Seasonings Sleep Tea; it works wonders and is really tasty with 3 spoons of sugar and some honey
