If you haven’t watched it, I recommend Nanbaka, it’s a comedy anime (with a bit of drama in it). I won’t lie it’s been a while since I last watched it so I don’t remember if there is a romance plot, but I say it’s worth to check out!! Also I love Saiki K too its so peak

I recommend sakamoto days, Dr Stone ( it has a lil romance but nothing that involves the main character) delicious in dungeons, freiren, Cowboy Bebop, the summer Hikaru died anddddd great teacher onizuka.!!

Pretty Boy Detective Club!! silly goofy fun to watch, also accidental trans allegory with the main character (sort of)

I would totally recommend Sk8 the Infinity & Tiger and Bunny! They have likeable and funny characters plus theres serious undertones that always feel intentional and add plot to the story!! d(＞ω＜｡)

one of my old favourites is barakamon! its a sweet lil slice of life abt a calligrapher sent to live on an island off the japanese mainland, and how he comes to learn abt himself and develop his style while basically becoming a dad to the local kids, its very sweet, but its been a while since I watched it so my memory of it is a lil hazy. just 1 season, and no romance - the mc is canonically aroace!

another I rlly reccomend is sk8 the infinity, a sports anime abt skateboarding w some genuinely gorgeously animated races and the dub is so incredibly unhinged they rlly let the actors do whatever they wanted so I'd rec that. Again no canonical romance, but an awful lot of tension.

I'd also rec link click if u want smth a bit more intense and longer, its a time travel thriller with such a gripping plot - its genuinely so good at building tension its made me physicallly ill (in a good way lol!) its got a rlly novel time travel system using photos and limiting travel to 12 hrs, and is 2 seasons with a prequel season, and the third season coming out later this summer so nows a good time to get in! This one has only minor background romance. hope u enjoy the recs <3

im back again cus i remembered the existence of buddy daddies! its again just a single season but its really lovely, it follows two assassins accidentally adopting a four year old and having to figure out how to raise her, it's really sweet with such a wonderful found family i highly reccomend!

I'm pretty sure Ghost stories has little to no romance. i havent watched the whole series tho
