i'm lowk bad at DnD, so i always end up picking wizard or elf (because there's always someone who gets dibs on bard at the first milisecond possible lmao)
Usually I'm the forever dm but when I do get to play, I like to go for a paladin. I'd say my most common race is human. The last character I played fell into both of those. His name was Brother Nuts, and he worshiped Ale and other tavern beverages. He was the older wise one of the group who always had a drink at hand. His greatest feat was teleporting his entire party and a group of about 25-50 captured gnomes out of a crumbling cave because he prayed so hard to his beer god. However, he suffered like level 9 exhation after.
I made a tabaxi monk once, kinda had fun mixing some abilities to make it interesting to play and not just spam punch everything. Unfortunately, could only play em for a few sess :')

I usually play rogue for the class and a homebrewed rat for the species. Though if homebrew isn't allowed I do either human, tiefling or elf.
