i cant attach myself to any fandoms of things i like bc i feel like majority of fandom spaces aren't like they used to be and some ppl are like insane (emphasis on SOME bc i don't want to get cancelled gyulp.) and like every time i consider joining a fandom the universe shows me a sign that it's not good idea rn 😺

omg the WAY i don't even want to approach some people from specific fandoms because i just know that they're weird
either because the media itself is bad (the coffin of andy and leyley, mushoku tensei) or sometimes it's just because the fandom itself is????? (mha, bsd, genshin impact) like UGH

I remember seeing kind of half the first game, if there are more, and not really liking it, so I left it there. I think that works like this are interesting and some are good to play or read, but the issue comes when you're like "OMG THIS IS AMAZING I THINK THIS SHOULD HAPPEN IRL" and it's like, no?... For example, people who watch crime aren't like "yeah, this should happen IRL and it' so good". People who watch crimes go " this is interesting from certain angles like psychology and forensic, but this should NOT happen". Fiction should stay on fiction, and you shouldn't base your whole personality or life on a media just becauae you enjoy or like it...
Am I kinda crazy? I'm not trying to defend, just ahow my point of view. Sorry if I was offensive... o(╥﹏╥)

No no no your point of view is interesting, i would have thrown hands if you said that what happened in the game is cool
I'm personally not the biggest fan of toxic x toxic relationship unless it is VERY well written and again I didn't play the game and don't plan to so I don't know about the narrative
For me, a piece of media can talk about a heavy subject as LONG as they dont romanticize it and shows how wrong it is, but I don't think it is the case in the game at all since its literally "hooray you slept with your sister oh and also you had a baby with her"

sigh... tcoaal isn't "le problematic incest game!!!" at all. the incest isn't portrayed os good at all. and the incest isn't even a big part of the game!! hell, in comparision to the other crimes commited by the Graves siblings, it's tame! I'm so sick of people judging art based off of misinformation they heard on twitter
