Dolly in The Lounge

Want to crash out, but internet safety is important. Instead, I'll ask what life tips you guys have for being independent. As basic as you want. Laundry, cleaning, shopping, budgeting...Anything. Even if I already know it, reading advice from you guys might help me calm down. No pressure, but thank you if you do!! ദ്ദി ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ )

wellll, relating to anger, i have this thing where i if i’m fr mad i pick up three things closest to me; they’ve gotta be smth throwable, one without that much risk of being broken (eg. a stuffie [it makes me feel bad sometimes so i apologize to my stuffies when i’ve calmed down if ever i use them LMAO]), then something a lil more solid (perhaps a plastic hanger i always have one of those in reach) and something solid fr like a notebook and you can throw em at a wall or on the ground with as much force as you can and that usually takes a bit of the fight out in me! u can yell a lil when u throw them if you feel like it hehe.. then i cry it out lmao it’s somewhat cathartic and i do recommend ^^ i hope u feel better soon yo
Ooooh, good idea! I definitely have some soft things I could throw.
Ironing is extremely underrated because it makes a whole world of difference, especially if you want to look nice when going somewhere. Also, wearing a little accessory everywhere does a world of good to your confidence and personal style.
And don't forget to go to the library!! They literally have millions of books, songs, movies, programs, etc. in all sorts of formats and editions and guess what YOU GET IT FREE!! Also if you can't find what you want in your area chat up a librarian (nicest coolest people in the world by the way) and they usually are able to coordinate with another library to get you what you want, or at least maybe perhaps get your request with their next restocking. These are great places to build clubs, relax, and enjoy the space.
What's more, there are tons and tons of digital libraries and archives that are literally the best!!
Best budgeting and cooking thing I've got is to plan your meals, and therefore your shopping. I know I have terrible problems with meals and eating regularly, but just making a makeshift list of your breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks of each day and planning one you'll actually prepare and eat, then going to the store and buying exactly that and nothing but that every week is extremely effective in making one feel more secure in their diet and financial means. Remember to include at least one vegetable in meals if you can (frozen is a pretty good option, and always look for those deals!).
Super good advice!! Thank you!!! (人*´∀`)。*゚+

The library has been on my mind recently. I could probably make a routine out of going there. It seems like such a nice place to just relax.
If ur angry/unhappy at someone, then what I like to do is to write them a letter, just saying the things ur annoyed about them (also yes I got this from Marge in the Simpsons, but it works)
Nothing wrong with getting advice from a TV show!! I'll keep this advice in my back pocket ^_^
so much about independence has to do with forethought doing what NEEDS to be done, but i think people over look the fact that taking care of ones self is also very much a necessity -wether it be finding a hobbie investing in yourself ,exploring new places or anything else you could build upon -we're not meant to just eat sleep work, take care of taxes and repeat.it all goes hand in hand tho the balancing is the tuff part id say, hope that helps . I pray that all your anguishes be replaced with peace.
True. In combination with Peaches' library suggestion, I could certainly add more routine to my life. You're absolutely right that working all the time is a mind and happiness killer. Thank you for the kind words ( ◜‿◝ )♡
Pick up a show! Or book or monthly creative challenge
Anything fun to look forward to consider it ur break time I'm sure life gets hectic
Personally I love to watch whatever my friends r watching so we can yap abt it tgt if that sounds any good I'd love to volunteer and hear abt what ur watching/wanna watch^°^
One of my ideas is to join a creative club of some sorts. Life has sadly been the opposite of hectic, so I'm hoping a club will put more schedule into my life.

Thank you for the offer! That's very kind. I don't really watch stuff, though, so I can't really take you up on it 😔 If I find something noteworthy, I might post about it on here! ^_^

Shows I have watched in the past are just The Amazing Digital Circus, HtTYD: RttE, and...Yeah. I'm not a huge TV person, lol. If you have recommendations, I welcome them!
ooh let me think uhhh u always wanna make sure u have a well stocked first aid kit and a good stock of painkillers and such. if u wake up sick u are not gonna want to have to go out and buy meds lmao. Sometimes its just rlly nice to walk and walk and walk or run and run and forget abt how u look or what ppl think sometimes you just need to move and the sting of your lungs can be quite grounding. An'd if you've no energy for running, a nice cup of tea and sitting outside in the sun can do much good. if u see something you want in a shop but you're not sure how much exactly you want it you can either spend some time walking around in the shop w it in ur basket or whatever and see if u still want it so badly later, rather than impulse buying smth u dont actually want that much. if you do really truly want something, if your heart is set on it and you even leave but ur still thinking abt it, go back and buy it. don't deny urself! im struggling to think of more rn but i hope u feel better soon!
Oooh, the first aid kit is really good advice. I have a good stock of painkillers and batteries, but I'm not sure how many bandages and so on we have. I'm taking note of the other things you said too. Thanks! :]
Give yourself grace :( life is hard
It's difficult for me to find the line between slef-care and selfishness. That said, you are correct that life is hard. Be kind to yourself too!
