what is your favourite philosophical theory of dealing with absurdity of existence... mine has always been existentialism idk ive always felt that deeply, but i am open to others too
hmmm i was new to this so i researched a lil; from what i understood, i think existentialism for me makes the most sense, if the concept is that we create value out of life ourselves?? like through our own actions and what we do, i think… that’s the one that stood out the most to me actually, but there was also humanism, which from how i understood was how we can work together and the things we do give is the valued bits..?? how our interactions create the value to life kinda, our relations, compassion for eachother ykyk..
i liked this question, it exposed me to a lil smth new ^^
ooh thats fun! im glad you learnt something... i was talking to my cousin abt these theories actualy, he introduced me to absurdism which is the theory that life itself is meaningless and trying to find meaning creates conflict - in this theory there are the forms of action: commiting suicide, moving into religion/finding a meaning or accepting the absurd. i dont rly like the theory because i am very motivated to find my own meaning but it is interesting if you are into absurdism tho my cousin reccomended a book called The Stranger by Albert Camus (i havent read it yet but it sounded interesting)
