idek if this is the right place but like is there anyone that has had trouble figuring out what they want to do career wise ? What things helped you besides finding jobs that relate to your interest since those aren't really going to be an option for me as a full time job

Oh, absolutely. I think people put far too much pressure on themselves to discover "the one thing" they're meant to do, as though some mysterious little bell is supposed to ring the moment you find it. Sometimes you have to live for a while and see what continues to interest you, what you're good at, and, perhaps most importantly, what sort of life you actually want your work to give you.

Iโ€™d also separate what you love from what you need to make a living. A career doesn't have to be your greatest passion. Sometimes it's enough for it to provide stability, decent working conditions, and enough time and energy left over for the things you truly love.

And don't be afraid to experiment. Take classes, volunteer, talk to people already working in fields you're considering, try small projects, or even make a list of things you know you don't want. After years, I've learned that knowing what you dislike can be just as useful as knowing what you adore.

You don't need to have your entire existence mapped out before you've even begun living it :)
thank you for the advice i really appreciate it!
Really good advice! ^_^
Shi im 22 and I still don't know i just know I still always enjoyed art so I guess I'll give that a shot
On top of what Zee said, I really recommend just working in random entry-level positions. You'll learn more than you ever could from writing things down. I thought I'd despise customer service, but it's not so bad. I also learnt I hate having sore feet and need better shoes, haha.

Also, it looks great on your resume! A good employer will see you've tried different things and trust you to be flexible. They'll be more likely to believe you can complete different tasks. Provided you aren't fired a lot, lol. Yeah, definitely quit before you're fired, if things are looking that bad. A sudden job loss is easier to excuse when you chose to leave.
I think a lot of people have already shared such nice advice and tidbits, especially zelune. I definitely had a hard time figuring out a career path to go for, it was such a major stressor for me for many years, even before I graduated high school. Even with an idea I still get a little nervous lol. While I was still in college a long time ago, I went to a career guidance counselor for help figuring out career paths I could go for, took me many sessions with them before I found one I thought was interesting and worthy of pursuing. So if you have any helpful counselors to ask for ideas as well, they might have some insight.
I got my job of 4 years through connection and asking community, a friend knew a friend who worked there and thought it'd be a good fit for me, and they were right. Sometimes you need an outside perspective. Try new things and surf the wave that is life, don't stress about trying to figure everything out at once.
Did nothing. Everyone, from when I was little, always asked me what I wanted to do in the future, when I said anything they discourage me and told I won't get there, it always angered me, now even more because they just laugh at me for not choosing anything. Like bruh!? I told you what I wanted to do! You told me it's won't work out! So I did absolutely nothing. I've chosen a job just to make money and I pursue my dream career with my bf in a free time
I got cleaning job btw
I can speak from personal experience that when push comes to shove, you'll figure something out. I had to get a job early due to circumstances and although it's not something that I enjoy at the moment it has aspects of things I like to do - like writing ! So my suggestion like Estee would be to try your shot at different kinds of entry level positions and see what you like best and figure it out from there, if you can you can also take more courses on things that you like to eventually land a job in what you feel is interesting, that way you have both the experience and degrees to show you can do the work when you do find a job you like!!
I'm going to become an x-ray tech.
I love art, it is truly something I have a deep, DEEP passion for. However, I hate being told what, and how to draw. I like the human body a lot, and I am quite fond of not being super foward-facing while getting to help people. So, I settled on an x-ray tech.
