I just had an argument with two above 60ppl about age gaps and what I think is "okey" and what age gaps should maybe be though about twice.. or.. more.
And I honestly belive that mast ppl my age share a similar opinion and are more woke ig on when an age gap gets weird.

So whats an age gap you guys think is okey? And at what point do you guys start saying "ehhh.. maybe not?"

hmmm, for me depends when the age gap is occurring?? because, at least for me, it is not the same having an age gap of 10 years when two people are 20 and 30 than, idk, 35 and 45. in the latter, both have developed, seen more in life and experienced more, while the other is predatory. But even if I kinda agree with age gaps, I would limit it to 5 years max? (at least for me lol)
Yea that makes sense! I also think like 4-5 years is the max id go for
It depends on when they met, like if they met when both were above 40, and have 15 years of difference, then ok it's not *too* bad, but when they've got 15 years of difference and met when the youngest was still in their 20's...
(My parents. they have. 12 years of difference. and they met when my om was in her twenties. and they find that normal.)
Yeahh thats what they told me to.. but I dont wanna judge that to hard id js personally say thats a bit.. odd? Maybe.
after your 20s it's fully up to you how old you go but you should never go lower then 27-29 if you're 30, 30 and up you can go as old as you please but if you're older then 30 (35 and up at least) you shouldn't go lower then 30 IMO but on the other hand while you're a teen IMO you shouldn't date anyone more then maybe a year older or younger then you as teens are still figuring things out and the maturity gap is not a thing to mess with. while 20 though you should only date people in their 20s and try not to go too far.
Omggg yess!! I totally agree with that!! But for some reason ppl who are 60+ yrs wanna tell me im weird for thinking that
i think it's different for everyone. i personally don't feel comfortable if i'm dating anyone 2 years younger or older than me. i think if you're in your early 20s don't bother dating anyone in their late 20s and older. it's always a red flag when grown ass adults are choosing not to date someone their age and these huge age gaps will usually lead to a really problematic power imbalance in the relationship in some way whether it's financially, emotionally or mentally regardless if they're both consenting adults
I honestly never looked at the power imbalance, but omg that is actually a rlly good point. And old guys who think dating sm1 who (even if 18) is cool when they're like 49 rlly need help and shouldn't be normalized
in my honest opinion, i'd say a more okay age gap would be of below 10 years, it is also based of the maturity gap and such.
If young (21-22) 2 years max, 30 it's 5 and above 40 it's 10
