It's weird, because there are 3446 people in here but only few of us write anything and many accounts looks like someone made them and just abandoned them. Are there really that much people here? Are we're being botted? Any idea?
i think there's ppl who make accounts and just forget about them, maybe because different sites w the same idea were made at the same time and they lost the "hype" feeling with time, maybe because of merely forgetting about it bc of the less chaotic vibe Kwenk seems to have compared to some. but the bot thing is highly considerable indeed!
I think a lot of ppl jus forget? but also like sometimes it's scary leaving comments when u can already do fun stuff js reading what other ppl write yk
i know a lot of other ppl joined around the same time i did a few months ago from the same instagram reel, but then (like me until the other day) just forgot about this site bcs it wasn't baked into their schedule. i think if it was more active back then it could have retained more people maybe?. no bots to my knowledge tho
I agree with this. I joined because of that reel but since it was released during artfight I wasn't active at all and almost forgot about the site all together. Glad I remembered to hop back on, it's nice here
I agree with what everyone's saying, for me it just kinda slips my mind. I have gotten back into the groove of checking it at least once or twice a day. I wish there was more activity on here, but I'm kinda glad it's a niche website. I can't imagine what would happen once this website gets super popular.
I don't think there's botting It's more that this isn't an app or something similar. You don't get notifications. There's not as much dopamine to be gotten here compared to tik tok, reels, and other social media. People get busy, delay or simply forget That being said, it kind of emulates how the old internet worked. You wouldn't have people online every day. It was weekly-ish or, at most, a couple times a week. I think this is nice because of that. No one is on 24/7 as is the case on reddit, for example. There's simply no pressure to be here unless you really want to be, and that's awesome!
Yeah, people use it in different ways. I also like the bi-weekly thing as it encourages old internet habits. But I'm just worried of the site shutting down again due to low activities.
idk about others but i never really know what to write so i lurk, respond to things (like this post) or just spend most if not all of my time drawing so typically i only really post once or twice a week. just putting my personal experience into the conversation (＾▽＾)ゞ
i genienly anna make friends but i dont think a lot of people are active here. i think we should maybe host games and stuff. like playing minecraft together or roblox or something like that. then maybe then well have lots of fun and meet new people. but yeah the bot thing is real, but i actually just thought it was people who forgot about it lol.

Something i think might contribute to the lack of "active users" is that talking on kwenk feels much more personal than talking on the average social media app, hence why i a good portion of people lurk as opposed to posting and commenting. the layer of anonymity that exists on standard sns apps is more stripped down here
in my case i made the account then got busy with school so i think it really is full of people just not everyone has as much time as they thought they would for it
Hey, so I think you two might be making the same mistake i did, which is posting on your wall instead of in the lounge. If you post on your wall people have to click on your profile to see it. As for blogs, idk about that section, i forget it exists
