I did the thing no one should really do. I asked my housemates what my issue was.(Pt1)
Back in highschool, I was known as the weird kid. Not because i did anything weird like disturb classes or stuff. But mostly because i was usaully in my own little world, laughing at joke i remembered or seemily always smiley. Some people even thought i was high most times. I've never even done that.
Anyway, when i came here to this living place (Kinda like a living place for high school kids) some kids thought i was a guy from a distance. When i approached closer they were surprised to find out i was actually a girl. To be fair, i did have my locs down, and they are pretty short.
One girl, who i knew from hs had to defend me and argue against the notion that i was lesbian. They all thought i was... im not.
i guess i unintentionally exude "lesbian" energy, despite being straight.
Although, that would explain why no guy had asked me out in hs...i did get asked out once tho, by a girl... never dated before in all 18 years of my existence.
Nothing is wrong with being lesbian, obv. but i just wanted to know: WHAT WAS IT ABOUT ME THAT SCREAMPT LESBIAN
Here is what they said:
- I dont walk like a girl
- I'm always in hoodies and jeans/ sweatpants ( I dont like clothes that show too much skin. I wish sometimes i could wear anything other than hoddies but i just feel like a lot of eyes are on me so i like my hoodies.
- i always greet people by saying "wussup bbg" (Which, i think is fun)
Other things that are "wrong" with me
- im weird
- childish
- OCDish ( I dont think i have OCD, but my Housemates have made observations that i am. for example : one time i didnt want to eat with a spoon someone else had touched because now it ws contaminated. i really dont like things contaminating my things or spaces. im very particular about people touching my things. where have their hands been? are they clean? My hands feel sticky if i dont wash them after a while

And I get up, (which is inconvient) ik that might sound OCDish, but ik ODC is more than just "Cleanliness" earges. it's also about compulsive thoughts and much deeper than that. But they only know the stereotypical one.
Anyway.
All these observations, are just things that i could "change" but... eh, I just feel like the right word they are looking for is probably tomboy. idk.
Idk, has anyone else ever experienced whatever im going through?
2 people have told me they thought I was queer. For me, it’s probably bc most of my friends are queer so ig they assume I’m queer by proxy.
It’s such a weird thing lol, I mean I j think it’s funny but another part of me is like “do I give off lesbian energy???”
My god do i hate the "you don't walk like a girl" you're either walking like doflamingo or they just except you to walk with heels constantly with hoodies on
