Personally not a huge country music fan, so this may not be quite what your looking for, but I really like some Dolly Parton songs, as well as I Never Promised you a Rose Garden by Lyn Anderson (Not the remix version). Again, maybe not what you're looking for, but technically..?
Loved the vibe of rose garden and Dolly Parton has a great voice!
Any album or favourite songs you would recommend from dolly?
Lots of different moods for country, and some more folk-leaning than others... So going to try to recommend a good mix.
The Case of Bucky Briar by Jack Van Cleaf
Rich Men North of Richmond by Oliver Anthony
O.D. by Waylon Wyatt
Make It Out Alive by Tanner Usrey and Jessi England
Burning Man by Dierks Bentley
Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood
Mama's Broken Heart by Miranda Lambert
And, of course, there is more old-school artists like Johnny Cash, and Marty Robbins, but those are closer to folk and bluegrass. Modern country tends to have more rock or pop influence in it.
Thank you again for these wonderful recommendations, before he cheats is 100% my favourite out of these but i enjoyed all of them
If you liked Carrie Underwood you might also enjoy Raise Hell by Brandi Carlile, incase you were looking for more songs in that direction.
I really enjoy Something in the Orange by Zach Bryan, not sure if that's why your looking for
Really enjoyed the song thanks for the recommendation :)
you've GOT to listen to Alabama; they're an old 80s 90s ish country band
one of my favorites from them is Burn Georgia Burn
Listened to a few songs and enjoyed it.
Have to say my favourite was rude the train burn Georgia burn is a close second
Nevermind just listened to fantasy and it is my new favourite, it’s so groovy
Ooo I have a few that I like!
Hell's Comin' With Me- Poor Man's Poison
Gunpowder and Lead- Miranda Lambert
Save a Horse- Big & Rich
The Ballad of Boot Hill- Johnny Cash
The ballad of boot hill wasn’t my cup of tea but the other songs are 100% making it to my new playlist. Thanks for the recommendations :)
California Bloodlines by John Stewart is my favorite country album. This is coming from someone who doesn't like country music, so this may not be what you are looking for. The album is a folk and alternative country mix, but it is worth the listen!
i really love the railroad by Goodnight, Texas and Sun to Sun by Kaia Kater. Now, I'm not sure if this is actually country but I also really love When the Cellar Children See the Light of Day by Mirel Wagner
