Just watched a friend play Assassin's Creed Black Flag (resynced) and I was wondering...
Do you guys enjoy remade games (like Resident Evil) or would you rather we stop remakes to focus only on new games? Do you feel nostalgia about old games compared to their remakes?

I wouldn't have played a lot of games if they didn't have remakes/
But I would rather have a new game than a remake; some games are just a product of their time and should be experienced that way. The remaster of Oblivion is a good show of this; yes, the game is beautiful, but the jank is what made Oblivion such a good game, and without that it just feels like it's missing something.
funny how the whole fucking game is already made and they somehow manage to fuck it up that bad
A remake is from the ground up, and sometimes cool stuff gets lost within that. A rerelease is what it says it is, and a remaster is taking the old game, and just fixing it up a little and dusting it off.
All can do damage to a game, or even save it. Like imagine how many younger people have discovered games they like through say, the N64 emulator in the switch alone.
But thats just a rerelease with some bonuses like save states and such.
