yes in middle school i started writing down things people said in my notes app, and i continued it until i graduated this past year (didnt get that many this year cause of the phone ban tho...smh)

LOL I used to do this for this quirky English teacher I had that j said out of pocket things all the time. One of my faves is “I’m gonna squish you like a little grape.”

Another is when some other teacher came and told him “Good morning, how r u” to which he responded “I’m just living the American Dream.”

I have kept a list of quotes, with dates, and I call it "the list". It's 2 years old now! I had to start it after my brother said something that was so, so stupid- That I just HAD to write it down.

I actually didn't know this is a thing that people do, it's pretty cool. I don't keep a list of quotes. One quote that rewired my brain at 14 was Plato's "be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle" I had it as my phone wallpaper for quite awhile lol teenager discovers empathy
