ive been waiting my whole life for this question... so i was like super chronically online as a kid, so i was in a bunch of random fandoms, but the niche-est one by far was this game called Marikin online 4. ITS SO GOOD you can find play throughs of it on youtube but i swear nobody is in this fandom anymore and it breaks my heart.... i heart MO4...
haii!! have you maybe heard of The Stanley Parable?? it’s not very.. niche, but the fandom kind of died out in 2023. really sad to see such a good video game loose it‘s hype (＞人＜;).. the game is super fun!! but it‘s confusing, that is it‘s purpose. at the plot is all switched up.. anyways, you can play it on PC or consoles .. （＾ω＾）
OOOOOO I love this gammeeeee!!!!! One of my favourite things ever is going to the is it a bucket? Part and screenshare to a friend that doesn’t know anything about the game. And after that making them discover it through screen share lmao. Like whatever they want to try I do it so they see. The result it’s so much fun
Might not be that niche but I absolutely love OOB (out of bounds) in video games, whatever the game is the first thing I will try is to break it in a way or another. But mostly finding OOB in destiny 2. It’s a game that has a lot of OOB and forgotten objects outside the map. Like there is one place. That was special to a cut scene on X planet. And for some reason, in planet Y, if you go in a random place and fly using glitches for like 5/10 minutes, you get to this place, that has no reason to be here. It’s one of the most beautiful places in the game. And with the effort you had to get there it feels unreal, one of my best times in this game was going there.
ooohhh i like this question !! ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ my favourite niche is a youtube ARG "Angel hare" !!! ₍ᐢ. ̫ .ᐢ₎ i remember watching it a long time ago, i should rewatch it sometime !! its very fun if any ARG enjoyers want to check it out ^_^
Never really met anyone who knows about this one but it's a french animated show named Wakfu!! The show stems from the 2012 game I believe. It should be getting it's final season (5) maybe next year or late this year?? I haven't really checked for its release.
WHAAAATTTT it’s been sooo long since I’ve watched it and you are telling me that it actually will get another season!???? The child in me I hyped again!!!!!
YESSS I was also really suprised to know it had more than the 3 seasons I initially watched hehe. I really hope it's good because I wasn't the biggest fan of season 3 and 4...
Omg yes I also really love Yugo's hat hehe. It's a bit odd that basically all of the eliatropes have it tho. They never talked about the significance of it... (maybe it's just character design)
SPOILERS BUT
Dally and Evangeline do end up having three kids and they're really adorable together!! Yugo and Amalia have a thing too but I don't really get it but they are quite cute icl (Yugo gets aged up somehow dw)
Beta/cut content from Valve games... all the beautiful things that could have been included in an alternate timeline, compiled into a file or video that's only to be seen by the most Knowers of Ball Knowledge. I think it's really neat to see the process of game development and the evolution of a game's art and writing style, plus it makes for juicy inspiration for my own OCs. Also canceled video games and movies! I miss Me and My Shadow every day :')
I would conzider it mid tier niche, a lot of memez of it, but a lot of people know the zhow. I really like the zhow tho. Ezpecially the epizode where, they make a epizode.
I've always loved analog horror, but most series I've watched felt very formulaic and not too scary, but about a year ago i found a series named Dreams Of An Insomniac. It only has four episodes, but you can tell theres alot of passion put into the project and there are some really cool moments i def reccomend!!!
this is very specific but i absolutely love this one youtuber's OC videos, they're sort of like analog horror with some body horror and a lot of toxic codependency, told through really cool animations and hopefully a webcomic some day?? a good chunk of the lore is buried in old videos/posts, so its rlly fun to dig through, too. their user is melosphere, everyone should totally go check them out :>>
idk if it's really considered "niche", since it does have a fandom though it's pretty small, but i really love the webseries Hunter: the Parenting! It's based on the World of Darkness TTRPG universe and it's about a family of vampire hunters getting into trouble lol. The series is a mix of animated and audio-based episodes, and it's really well written! i highly reccommend checking it out!
Plants Vs Zombies Heroes. Highly recommend it if you like card games with a lot of strategy and the community can be very welcoming since we don't get a lot of new people.
Speed mazing, doing mazes really fast. It's so much fun, there's like one maze in my whole region and i do it every time it pops up. It's supposed to take an hour but my record is 27 minutes 💪💪💪 As for internet stuff, the anime Genesis of Aquarion, straight LIFE CHANGING anime, i've dedicated the last 2 years of my life to this stupid show and i couldn't be happier. the fandom was most active when aqEVOL (2nd season) came out in 2012 then pretty much all died in 2015 with the end of aqLOGOS (3rd season) and now we're never getting more aquarion because the 20th anniversary series aqmoe failed so horribly, it was actually the 4th lowest rated anime of 2025 😭😭😭im planning to write a blog post on aquarion on here... ilov mazes... and aquarion...
Aurora comic!! It's a webcomic made by Red from OSP I love fantasy story with a superhero element to it and the floof squad (the main party of characters) from aurora is my absolute favorite I love them sm I've never seen anyone talk about it much outside of its specific communities on the actual website and tumblr, so ig it counts as niche(?) There's also bistro heroes (you can tell I'm way into fantasy), it's a cute n fun l game I found a few years ago and still play to to this day! I mainly love its storyline and the character interactions（⌒▽⌒）
I love being in the niche community of the free game sale on steam and there community comments on steam. its so cool to how many people now have a new game from steam and that creator just putting it on sale for 100% off.
One of my favorite niche games is bugsnax it’s made by the same people who made octodad and the fandom is basically dead and there are bery little videos on it

But if you want a REAL answer? The Suffering, a PS2 horror game that I have grown to be really invested in recently.
