Is anyone else insanely obsessed with Morute fashion?
Like I’ve always had a more alternative style, but in the last few years I fell in love with Lolita and jirai kei (even though it’s sooo expensive I feel).
So I'm slowly starting to actually buy stuff I love second hand.
I feel like I sometimes forget that cute things in my style can work in all situations, which is why I never actually dress how I’d love to. But not anymore hehe

as a big fan of the anime NANA, i have a few pieces of merch: the strawberry glasses (birthday gift!), vol. 1-4 of the manga, and a cool t-shirt i got from an online pal. while these are all pretty cool, my favorite would have to be my first outfit for a punk show. the influence from Ai Yazawa's characters and her tastes in punk fashion were very obvious looking back.
the theme of the show was punk prom! since that night i've gone to another hardcore show with that theme, but this one will always hold a special place in my heart. a few weeks prior, i had graduated from highschool, and some friends who graduated the year prior invited me to this show out of town. we spent the day together, and i brought my boyfriend; what an awesome postgrad experience!
as for the breakdown of the outfit:
~ shirt was thrifted for my prom outfit (check out that post if you haven't :)
~ belt was from target
~ tie was thrifted for my halloween costume of patrick bateman (american psycho) & was used again for halloween costume of avril lavigne
~ pants were thrifted from thredup, thanks to a friend's recommendation!
~ docs were a great find on depop! half price and in pretty much new condition afaik
lastly, i wanna give a shoutout to my friend who was practicing photography and took a million photos of me. you're awesome. also, one of the bands that played was amazeballs, they are called kitty kitty meow meow, good luck to those gals!

Considering making some stamps to add designs to some of the squares, or another horizontal band of the dark blue denim around the base of the one strap-loop thingy. Advice is welcome though, I'm not done yet.

this weekend i debuted my cosplay of aston machan from umamusume!! im super proud of how it turned out, basically everything other than the wig/tail was either thrifted or made at home, including custom shirt, handmade ribbons and sleeves, hair accessories, and more! its my favorite cosplay ive done so far and im super proud of it :)

apologies for the wait, my partner's cat has been holding me hostage...
finally, the first official post of my fashion archive blog thingie!
my senior prom took place on 5.4.24.
it was pretty great. i enjoyed relaxing and dancing with friends, then chowing down later on at waffle house. this outfit represents my first time dressing conforming to my gender identity as an adult. it was a goal of mine to wear a suit for prom, which stemmed from a fleeting thought possibly during my freshman year.
i was responsible for a lot in my childhood, and finding and purchasing this outfit unfortunately wasn't an exception. so, although it didn't meet the elegant, colorful suits i compiled into an inspiration board on pinterest, it still made me feel safe and confident on an important day in my life.
my close friend at the time did my makeup for me, which was the first time I'd had it done; aside from childhood school plays. funnily enough, until we saw this picture our friend took, my boyfriend and i had no idea our ties made our outfits match :)
as i said in my previous post, the outfit was all thrifted. i still wear the shirt often, and as an enjoyer of punk, i mix up outfits with my small assortment of ties every once in a while.
i didn't look like a princess on my prom night, and i didn't look much like a prince either, but this outfit helped me celebrate myself. and, who knows? maybe i'll save looking like a prince for my wedding ;)

Hello! I have a question for you all.
When is the best time to shop for formal/prom dresses? As in, how soon in advance should I shop? I want to avoid last-minute buys, but I don't want to buy something too soon and then get upset because I saw something else. I know that's hard to predict, but I assume there is an ideal time frame.
Specifically, I'm looking for vintage (1950s) dress. If the op shop/thrifting gods bless me, I might find something there. If not, I'm happy to scour second-hand listing and even online stores. If you have advice relating to any of those subjects, I would really appreciate you sharing it!
I don't go shopping for fancy clothes, like, ever. Thank you for any help! Hope you all have wonderful weeks.

Just wanna show off my thrift haul!! Yesterday I went to this pop up thrift event with my bf! (Shout out Freezy) And got some really cute clothes and a this framed receipt art!
$$$: Both shirts were $5 the cargo capris were $12 and I actually got the shorts from Walmart cuz were shopaholics lmaooo they were also $12 I believe and the art piece was $15!
I really wanted to get some jewelry from the market but the only stuff they had there was spoon jewelry that was like...$25+ !!! I didn't wanna spend that much on a ring so I passed it up 🙂↕️
I wanna wear the shorts when I go out tonight, should I pair it with the black or pink shirt? :3 what do u guys think? I've also got some green slip on like..clog looking shoes or my low rise shiney maroon fake doc martens..tell me what to do ppl of the Internet!!! ヽ((◎д◎))ゝ

OMG omg I went thrifting today and found the most PERFECT PJ set! I'm inspired by pastel vintage stuff and this is super similar to some 60's PJ sets I had on my pinterest board! Yipee! I also ended up finding another cool mod inspired dress (which is hard to find in pastels!) and a Donna Summers CD. life is good... (o´▽`o)

from 05.02.24. this outfit is a bonus one. it's casual; iirc the theme was "y2k" for a day of my senior class's spirit week.
i bought these beloved jorts from a nearby Ross specifically for the theme. (the zipper sadly broke a month ago, so they are currently out of commission.) the rest of the outfit was mine, including an awesome Green Day shirt a friend found for me on a thrift shop outing and Jadon platform
Docs I got brand-new at half price from Depop in August of '23. my birthday was a couple weeks prior, and the rei ayanami plushie was a gift from a friend. my phone case at the time was this rad NANA design from what i'm pretty sure was a Cookie magazine promo cover. my boyfriend gave me it (from Redbubble) for our first Christmas gift exchange.
i wonder what i would do to follow that theme with the wardrobe i have now...
some background for these posts is that i love to take mirror selfies, but when i moved to my first apartment, i only had access to my small bathroom mirror.
