Two new additions, got as a gift for my fiance

New shit dropped

Does anyone know if CD players or VHS works on Roku tv's? I would assume so, I mean my xbox or playstation CD player works.... o.O

My diskman got to my house today!! I'm in my dorm right now so I can't get it, but I will get it on Thursday! I'm so so excited!!!!!

Malice mizer mervailles cd !!! I really want the memorie cd but it's actually so expensive!!!! Uggg why r CDs so expensive 😔

Hello homosexuals and others, here is part of my collection, I intend on growing it soon, you have been warned.

New addition (big fan of body count)

SO glad I found this right after I started collecting! Literally just got my first cd player/radio/alarm clock!! She's so cute but I desperately need to get a toothpick to get in all of those dihGUSTING crevices.

Burned my first CD this week and it worked really well! Made the cover sleeve on canva but couldn't get it to print right... looks a little small but that's okay!!

My diskman I got the same day as the other cd player... he snapped in half four hours after having him. I was in a library printing out the cover sleeve for my cd case when my leg got caught on the earbuds and it freaking CRASHED to the ground. The top is fully disconnected and even when I was able to get the thing to close it still didn't work! ;-; I have a new one coming in this weekend. Hopefully it doesn't slam off the table AGAIN!!

Lastly my most important piece... BOOKS!! I think a lot of people forget books in the conversation about physical media, but books are so so SO important to collect and take care of. I'm reading Project Hail Mary as my nighttime book and Lord of the Flies as my day time book! I have been neglecting Lord of the Flies though... Should probably get back to reading that...

so last year i got a cd player from amazon. my friend recommended it and it looks like a suitcase so i was like omg thats so cute!!! and ive been looking for a cd but im a little wary of getting it from amazon bc i was worried it might break or smth. but my friend uses it and no complaints!! I GOT MAYBE A FEW USES OUT OF IT AND IT DOESNT WORK ANYMORE. IM SO DISAPPOINTED.

SO MY QUESTION LMAOOO IS- do you guys have any cd player recommendations? preferably cheap, and i dont need it to be fancy. i literally just wanna press play skip and pause LOLLL. preferably a small one as well. :')) thank you

does anyone have any experience burning their own cds? is it cheaper than just buying one?

I got another mitski cd!!! I really want to buy some madman’s esprit cds🥺

New CDs!!!

has anyone ever recorded albums onto cassettes (in a 100% super legal way) because im thinking of doing it because it seems pretty easy on paper but im wondering if its as easy and it sounds 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Albums that have been in heavy rotation the past few weeks. (L-R) Low Forest - Entrovert, Choir Boy - Passive With Desire, John Carpenter - Lost Themes.

How much do you want to integrate physical media into your life? Do you want it to be more popular overall? What things, if any, do you think should be replaced/mostly replaced by physical media? Any stuff you want to keep digital?

Personally, my ideal car would have a CD player. I think I would mess with playlists by skipping songs and stuff while driving. Pretty bad distraction. With CDs, I've already curated the playlist. Having less flexibility would force me to skip less and focus on driving more.

That said, I'm a fan of bluetooth speakers. I know most chunky radios come with okay-ish to good speakers and might come with CD/cassette player integration, but I don't want to haul a big speaker around. Bluetooth speakers are so handy.

I don't want bluetooth forced into everything, though. Don't charge me for something I don't want or need. From what I've experienced, modern devices think that quantity is better. It's kind of hard to escape unwanted features and then be charged more for it ಠ_ಠ

I got another mitski cd ^^

My physical copy of animal crossing new leaf is arriving wednesday!! very exciting, i have a goal to collect every entry in the series physically, with this it means im only missing amiibo festival and the gamecube OG... owning the first one is like my collecting DREAM but i need to get a whole set up forit... don't have anything that can play GC games yet

Downloaded DVDstyler and am working on putting a silent playthrough of Detroit: Become human (specifically Connor's deviant path) into a dvd with menus + chapters and stuff >:) never done this before so made about 3 million mistakes already but hey I'm learning lots!

I love how the owner of this group's username being "????" makes it look like Kwenk doesn't know who owns this group.

Rn for back to school I convinced my mom to let me burn my own dvds and cds and I also just learned that my local library has a section with dvds and blue-rays which is really cool :D

I don't have much CDs, I'm trying to save up for the malice mizer memoire cd.

My current CD shelf, some of this stuff I don't really listen to anymore, I plan to refresh it with my current taste when I get the money

Just burned a cd for the first time! I know it's not the most CHALLENGING task, but I'm a little too young to have learned that skill when most would have so I'm pretty happy. feeling unstoppable rn I shall make so many swag playlists

divine op shop find I LOVE YOU SUZANNE VEGA

i just found my 2016/19 mp3 player and i LOVE it, esp listening to the songs on it, they give me so much nostalgia x)

what's everyone's fav form of physical media ( -_・)?

new cd just got heree

my thrift finds of the day (*^-^*)

sadly pulp fictions outside box is damaged but the disks arnt scratched & the original booklet is in there undamaged AND for 5 bucks its a steal

I GOT THIS ONE FOR FREE
I’ve stacked up so many goodwill (or greedwill) points I can get like 50 dvds for free. Nothing to interesting today but in the back top corner of the shelf I saw the mask and grabbed it so quickly HEBEHE IM A HAPPY CAMPER

My small collection of CD's and cassette's, its not huge collection but its slowly taking shape :3

Photo of my CD collection I took with my digital camera!!! I've been collecting for 2 years now so I have ALOT of CDs. Most of them are thrifted, and one is signed (What To Do When You Are Dead by Armor For Sleep)!!!!

my leaning tower of dvds aka my whole collection ☆ミ

Guess who inherited their parents' old music!!!!!! (They're not dead, my dad just ripped all their music and threw it on a network drive, and I'm the only one who really wants the physical stuff)
I have almost an entire binder filled with a mix of burnt and purchased CDs now, including albums from Echo and the Bunnymen, The Cranberries, Led Zeplin, The Bare Naked Ladies, Fleetwood Mac, Gordon Lightfoot, ABBA, and THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW SOUND TRACK! :D

As a side note, have a Sony personal audio system ZS-RS60BT, which I like, but the first couple disks I tried weren't being read. The screen just said "Reading" for a while. Apparently then that happens you need to give the laser reader a little nudge down or to the left, so if anyone else has that issue, try that?

Honestly Forgot i wanted to collect CDs 2 years ago, but the way physical media is looking (SONY AND STREAMING ) i might get back into it

My post died?! It received a server error (｡ŏ﹏ŏ)

Anyway, I semi-own one of these! I don't remember if I fully inherited it or not. It belonged to one family member, but was inherited by another many, many years ago. I'm not sure if she fully gave it to me.

This is a Galaxian 2! It only supports one game, but has both singleplayer and multiplayer. I haven't played it yet, but it's really cool. The case looks AWESOME! I really prefer the clunky sci-fi feel over modern consoles trying to be sleek and professional. This thing feels like a precursor to the Gameboy.

I ripped the image from the internet because I don't want to pull mine out of wherever it is.

Found that one frutiger metro Beatles CD at the library ;)

my battlestar galactica 04 box set, as well as alien 1-4, are missing from this because they didnt fit in the photo lol
